The 2026 season came to a close on Saturday for Southern Virginia University when they were swept by #3 ranked Carthage College in the NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship.

Although the Knights finished with 42 kills compared to Carthage's 33, and hit a respectable .232 for the match, they were swept 25-19, 25-23, 25-19. Tommy Forese had a team-high 11 kills for Southern Virginia while Trajan Wadsworth and Brady Dastrup each added 9 kills. Gehrig Tolman finished with 35 assists and 10 digs while Mitchell Barney led the team with 11 digs.

Southern Virginia concludes the season with a 29-6 overall record.
