CVC Player of the Week - April 4, 2022
Nahuel Recabarren, Southern Virginia University

The final CVC Player of the Week award for the 2022 season goes to Southern Virginia's Nahuel Recabarren. The senior outside hitter helped the Knights close out the regular season with a pair of wins last week; defeating UC Santa Cruz in five sets and sweeping Lancaster Bible. Recabarren put down a season-high 28 kills in the five-set thriller against UC Santa Cruz, adding 17 digs and three blocks. He followed the next day with 10 kills, 3 digs, and 5 blocks in the win over Lancaster Bible. On the week Recabarren averaged 4.75 kills and 2.50 digs per set while hitting .277 and adding 20 digs, 8 blocks, and 5 aces. 

CVC Player of the Week - March 28, 2022
Duncan Beilke, Kean University

Beilke helped lead the Cougars to four wins last week, averaging 4.2 kills and 1.13 digs per set over matches. The senior reached double-digit kills in four of the matches including a high of 20 against Drew. He totaled 74 points on the week and hit .274, adding six aces and nine total blocks. 

CVC Player of the Week - March 21, 2022
Andrew Zaleck, Rutgers University-Newark

Andrew Zaleck makes it three in a row as the Continental Volleyball Conference Player of the Week. The junior continues his torrid pace, helping the Scarlet Raiders to three more wins last week. Zaleck totaled 44 kills, 7 aces, and 5 blocks for 54 total points; adding 11 digs in the three matches. He averaged 4.4 kills per set, hitting .357 on the week. Zaleck reached double-digit kills in all three matches including a 21 kill outing against ranked Marymount. This marks the fourth time this season he has taken home the weekly honor. 

CVC Player of the Week - March 14, 2022
Andrew Zaleck, Rutgers University-Newark

For the second straight week, and the third time this season, Zaleck claims the CVC Player of the Week award. The junior helped Rutgers-Newark to a sweep of Arcadia in his only match of the week. Zaleck tallied 18 kills in the three sets, hitting .467 for the match with just four errors on 30 swings. He also added one ace, three digs, and one block; totaling 19.5 points in the match. 

CVC Player of the Week - March 7, 2022
Andrew Zaleck, Rutgers University-Newark

The first repeat winner this season, Andrew Zaleck picks up his second CVC Player of the Week award in 2022. The junior helped the Scarlet Raiders to a pair of wins last week including a win over Kean in the NJAC Championship. Zaleck totaled 35 kills, 11 digs, 5 aces, and 6 blocks in the two matches. He had a high of 20 kills against Kean, adding 4 aces and 8 digs in the match. On the week Zaleck averaged 5.00 kills and 1.57 digs per set while hitting .389 and finishing with 43.5 total points.

CVC Player of the Week - February 28, 2022
Ervin Harrell, Marymount University

Harrell put together a dominant performance in his team's sweep over CVC foe Elizabethtown. The senior outside hitter recorded 17 kills and 11 digs in the match, hitting .850 and totaling 17 points. Harrell put down his 17 kills on just 20 swings while committing no errors. 

CVC Player of the Week - February 21, 2022
Nahuel Recabarren, Southern Virginia University

Recabarren powered the Knights to a pair of wins last week, averaging 5.25 kills per set while hitting .456 and totaling 47.5 points in the two matches. He started the week with 28 kills in a five-set battle against Randolph-Macon College. He also added 3 aces and 6 digs in the match while committing just four errors. He closed out the week with 14 kills, compared to just two errors, in a sweep of Lancaster Bible. Recabarren added 8 digs and 5 blocks on the week and averaged 5.9 points per set.

CVC Player of the Week - February 14, 2022
Derek Au, Rutgers University-Newark

Au led the Scarlet Raiders to a perfect 5-0 record, including wins over a pair of ranked foes, on the week; extending its winning streak to 7 matches. The sophomore setter totaled 192 assists in the five matches, averaging 12.0 per set. he also added 9 kills, 11 blocks, and 19 digs on the week. The Scarlet Raiders hit above .320 as a team in three of five matches on the week and he currently is in the top five nationally in assists per set. He twice topped 40 assists last week with a high of 47 against #14 St. John Fisher.

CVC Player of the Week - February 7, 2022
Andrew Zaleck, Rutgers University-Newark

Zaleck helped the #8 ranked Scarlet Raiders to a pair of wins on the weekend including a five-set victory over #11 ranked Juniata. The junior put down 21 kills in the battle of ranked teams; adding 9 digs, 3 aces, and 2 blocks. He totaled 25 points in the match, hitting .222. Zaleck followed with 8 kills on just 11 swings in a sweep of Penn State-Altoona, hitting .636 in the match. On the week he hit .304 with 29 kills, 15 digs, 5 aces, and 3 blocks; finishing with 35.5 total points in just eight sets.

CVC Player of the Week - January 31, 2022
Steve Swain, Elizabethtown College

Swain used a career-high performance to led the Blue Jays to a 3-0 week and earn CVC Player of the Week honors. The junior outside hitter recorded 22 kills and 5 digs in a win over Penn State-Altoona during the team's second match of the week. He opened the week with 18 kills and 9 digs against Wilkes and closed out with 7 kills and 15 digs against St. Vincent. On the week he averaged 3.92 kills and 2.42 digs per set, hitting .418 with 56.5 total points.

CVC Player of the Week - January 24, 2022
Kevin Duffy, Juniata College

Duffy opens up the 2022 season as the Continental Volleyball Conference Player of the Week. The senior middle blocker from Juniata College helped the Eagles to a pair of wins over the weekend as he tallied 28 kills and 14 blocks in three matches. He put up double-digit kills in two matches and had at least three blocks in all three matches on the week. Duffy's best outing was a 10 kill, 3 block effort in a 3-0 win over Mount Union in which he hit .818 with just one error on 11 attempts. On the week Duffy hit .550 on 28 kills and just 6 errors while finishing with 14 total blocks and 36 points.
